Despite rising protectionism and geopolitical tensions, China remains a key destination for global investors. According to Zhan, China's appeal lies in what he calls the "triple drivers" of opportunity: sustainability-led sectors such as the green, blue and health economies; technology-driven industrial innovation; and a rapidly evolving consumer market powered by digitalization and AI. He noted that while challenges remain, particularly on the geopolitical front, China's market size and dynamism continue to offer strong incentives for international investment.
